Trauma can leave a lasting imprint on the mind, body, and nervous system. In this workshop, Dr. Lindsay Murn will guide participants through understanding trauma and its far-reaching impacts, emphasizing that hope and healing are not just possible but achievable.

Gone are the days of thinking that trauma is a life sentence or that a person who has experienced trauma will be in therapy forever.

• Apply guiding principles of trauma-informed care to clinical practice.

• Navigate the stages of trauma recovery with tailored interventions.

• Recognize and mitigate clinician burnout and vicarious trauma.

• Demonstrate self-care and boundary-setting to promote professional well-being.

Attendees will gain 3 pre-approved CE hours, currently approved by the MN Board of Social Work. CE approval is pending for the MN Boards of Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Behavioral Health and Therapy for LPCs and LPCCs.

We need to do what we can individually, as a team, and as a profession to protect helpers from burnout, reinforcing a resilient, holistic approach to trauma care.
