Navigating Loyalty: Bonus Relationships and Attachment Dynamics with Maureen Campion, MS, LP

Family connections aren’t always straightforward. With marriage, divorce, and blended families, we’re often introduced to “bonus” relationships—the additional connections that come through partnership, parenting, and even previous relationships. These dynamics can be a source of both joy and challenge, influenced heavily by our attachment experiences and personal boundaries.

In this workshop, Maureen Campion, an experienced marriage counselor, psychologist, and family mediator, will guide therapists through the unique layers of these complex relationships.

Topics include:

• Navigating attachment wounds and the conflicts they may fuel with in-laws, stepfamilies, and other bonus family members.

• Redefining boundaries and expectations within today’s multifaceted family structures.

• Utilizing individual, couple, and family therapy approaches to support clients in strengthening these connections.
