ABOUT THE EVENT
Neurodivergent clients are present across all stages of life and within every type of clinical practice. This seminar, presented by Katy Lund, MSW, LICSW, provides therapists with a practical introduction to neuroaffirming care, helping participants better understand neurodivergence and how it may present across the lifespan.
Through lecture and interactive activities, including sensory-based examples, participants will learn to identify common signs of neurodivergence, provide meaningful psychoeducation, and ethically support neurodivergent clients and their families. The training will also explore sensory overwhelm, loneliness, and isolation, as well as the impact of neurodivergence on relationships, marriage, and family roles.

About the Speaker:
Katy Lund, MSW, LICSW is the Director of Autism Services at Secure Base Counseling Center and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). She brings extensive clinical experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and families across the lifespan.
Continuing Education Details:
Earn 3 CE hours, including 1 Ethics hour, pre-approved by the MN Boards of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, and Behavioral Health and Therapy for LPCs and LPCCs.
